Lacy Lovett has always loved words. A love of reading runs in her family, and she consumes around a hundred books each year. She began writing her first novel while working for a government contractor, and has been pursuing a writing career ever since. A natural grammarian, logophile, and bibliophile, she fell easily into editing in the writing circles she joined. She has been editing professionally, as a freelancer, since 2016. She beta reads for friends, judges multiple writing contests, and is preparing several books for publication.
Lacy has a BA from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Business Administration/Communications, an MA in Bioethics from Trinity International University, and an MA in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She is on staff at her local church as the Adult Discipleship Curriculum & Media Coordinator. She is the Circulation and Production Editor for Ethics & Medicine: An International Journal of Bioethics. She owns Redemptive Wordcraft, and LD Creations LLC. She is an elected officer for Kansas City West Christian Writers, a local writers’ group, and is affiliated with American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), Realm Makers, The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity (CBHD), and the Midwest District of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA).
Lacy lives in Kansas with her husband, her beloved Aunt Polly, and three spoiled cats in a “stately old lady” of a home, where she creates, writes, and prays. An active member of her church and extended family, she finds great delight in learning new things. She longs for people to come to know the God Who creates out of sheer delight and to experience the shalom of a deep and abiding relationship with Him.
